Monday 14 May 2018: On Thursday 10th May, itravel hosted their annual charity golf day at the stunning Bonnie Doon golf course, raising money for Mercy Ships Australia.

This year’s event comprised of almost 200 enthusiastic players and sponsors from across the travel industry, itravel agents, their employees, friends and family.

Tee off was 8.00 am and the nautical theme didn’t disappoint with all participants dressed like an episode of the Love Boat.

Each hole was sponsored by a supplier with many interesting non-golf activities to be had.

Collette offered up a mechanical bull ride (after a shot of whiskey of course), Tourism Fiji facilitated coconut bowling while Air New Zealand featured an authentic hotdog stand. Celebrity Cruises gave players 3 minute Angels’ massage and BMW offered a luxury car for anyone lucky enough to score a hole in one. Emirates extended 2 return tickets to Dubai. Some came very close to walking away with these.

Steve Labroski, Managing Director of itravel praised the generosity of suppliers and itravel members alike. “We make a living by what we get but we make a life by what we give. I’m so proud to be a member of the travel industry.”

A total of over $25,000 was raised on the day with over $10,000 raised at the afternoon auction. itravel extends a heartfelt thanks to all of its sponsors with a special thanks to BMW, Collette, Emirates, Tourism Fiji, Globus, Wendy Wu, Skimax, RCCL, Travelcube, Air New Zealand, Intrepid, G Adventures, Scenic.
