The Global Mercy has completing her maiden voyage to Africa, and arrived alongside her sister ship, the Africa Mercy in the port of Dakar, Senegal.
After being inaugurated, the Global Mercy will immediately begin operating as a floating training centre for more than 260 Senegalese healthcare professionals. With an expected service life of 50 years, the Global Mercy will inscribe a legacy of improved healthcare in every nation served.
This year with both the Africa Mercy and Global Mercy in Dakar, Senegal, we can continue to transform lives and strengthen the healthcare system in Africa. Together we have the potential, within a generation, to transform the healthcare story in Africa.
